Software engineer with AI experience
Part-time, 20 hours a week, remote from within the European Union or on site in Luxembourg. With a participation perspective for people who want to help build Lux Digital Solutions for the long term.
What you can build here
A participation perspective
For people who help build Lux Digital Solutions for the long term, participation is intended. Whether and in what form it is possible is discussed individually once the legal and contractual prerequisites are clear.
Lead technical projects
You take technical responsibility for projects that go into operation. You make architecture decisions, structure delivery and lead it through release and operations.
Build software, integrate AI well
Software engineering that holds up in operations is the foundation. You decide for each system whether AI brings a clear benefit, then build the integrations and applications required.
Twenty hours, clear responsibility
The role is deliberately designed around twenty hours. You own a clear technical area, make decisions independently and bring initiatives to a robust outcome.
What we do
You work on projects that improve or automate workflows. The goal and technical approach are agreed with the project team before work begins. You own delivery through release. What operations involves after that is agreed clearly for each project.
For systems that use AI, you define data and tool boundaries deliberately. You make them visible in the design, document decisions and build the necessary controls.
The work ranges from process automation through integrations to applications. Every domain brings its own requirements. The common thread is software that can be operated and evolved cleanly.
When errors can have consequences, tutorial knowledge and a quick proof of concept are not enough. You judge what a model can do reliably, safeguard critical cases and make sound decisions on testing and approvals.
Your responsibilities
You build software, design the technical and AI architecture, and lead projects through release. What operations involves after that is agreed clearly for each project.
You work directly with company management, with no layer in between. You translate a business goal into a robust technical solution and keep the thread when a project becomes complex.
You carry visible responsibility for decisions, delivery and technical quality.
Your technical profile
Software development is your foundation. You have built applications that others use in production, can read unfamiliar code with confidence and document technical decisions clearly.
You bring APIs, data flows, authentication, databases, integrations and clear interfaces together into a sound systems architecture.
Containers, deployments, tests, logging, error handling, idempotency and monitoring are part of your daily work. You build systems that remain robust in operation.
You integrate models into robust systems, set data and tool boundaries, and test critical outcomes with reproducible cases. Where errors carry consequences, you build approval steps.
You lead technical projects by clarifying the goal and architecture, structuring delivery, protecting quality and explaining decisions clearly.
English is required. French, German and Luxembourgish are a plus.
Conditions
The role gives access to personal data belonging to our clients. It therefore requires confidentiality, strict adherence to access limits, and traceability of every intervention. You must be authorised to work in the European Union.
Pay is discussed at the first interview.
How to apply
CV and a few lines about something you built that ran in production. A personal project counts as much as a professional one.
